FAQ
Questions we’re often asked
A quick starting point. If something you’re wondering about isn’t here, just send us a message – we’re happy to talk it through.
When is the best time to visit Sri Lanka? +
Sri Lanka is a year-round destination, but where you go depends on the monsoon. Roughly speaking, the south and west coasts are sunnier from December to April, while the east is better from May to September. We’ll suggest routes that line up with the conditions during your dates.
Do I need a visa to enter Sri Lanka? +
Most visitors need an ETA (Electronic Travel Authorization) before arrival. Requirements can change, so we’ll always share an up-to-date official link when we start planning your trip, but we’re not a visa agency and can’t apply on your behalf.
What’s included in your trip prices? +
We clearly list inclusions and exclusions for every proposal, but most itineraries cover accommodation, daily breakfast, a private driver-guide and vehicle, entrance fees for key sites, and selected activities. International flights and visas are almost always excluded.
Is Sri Lanka safe to travel in right now? +
We only operate trips when we’re confident about on-the-ground safety for guests and our teams. We follow local news closely and will always be honest with you about conditions. We also encourage you to check your own government’s travel advisories.
How do we get around during the trip? +
Most journeys include a private air-conditioned vehicle with one of our trusted driver-guides. On some routes we add scenic trains or short internal flights for variety. You’ll always know in advance how each leg of the trip works.
Is Sri Lanka suitable for children and older travellers? +
Absolutely. We regularly host families with young children and guests in their 60s and 70s. We’ll adjust pace, driving times, and activity levels, and choose accommodation and rooms that make sense for your group.
